Liverpool enjoyed a perfect pre-season contest against Borussia Dortmund, and for one player in particular it was one he will never forget.
New signing Dejan Lovren made his debut, and ensured it was even more notable by scoring the second goal of the game.
The Croatian cost the club £20 million to buy from Southampton, and has done his chances of starting the season opener against his former side no harm at all.
Lovren was praised by Brendan Rodgers after the game, who told Liverpool's website:
"Dejan was perfect - he's what we've been looking for since Jamie Carragher left. He's a very dominant centre-half.
"He'll go and attack the ball, reads the game incredibly well and you can see his leadership qualities with his talking and guidance of the back four."
Liverpool won the match 4-0, with Daniel Sturridge, Coutinho, and Jordan Henderson also finding the net.
