Former Bayern Munich midfielder Luiz Gustavo has said that he is not interested in leaving Wolfsburg this summer, dismissing reports that he could move to Arsenal.

The Gunners are reportedly looking for a specialist defensive midfielder and have identified the Brazil international as the man for the job.

Earlier on in the summer, Arsenal were strongly linked with a move for Real Madrid’s 2014 World Cup winner Sami Khedira, but those reports have now cooled down.

Gustavo, who joined Wolfsburg from Bayern after winning the Champions League in 2013, has now insisted that he is not looking to move away from his Bundesliga club.

‘I am back in training and I want to play on for Wolfsburg to help the team succeed’, The Express quotes the 27-year-old as saying. ‘We are to be involved in three club competitions this season and we want to be among the best in all of them’.

One Arsenal midfielder who is not leaving the Emirates Stadium this summer is Spain international Santi Cazorla.

The 29-year-old attacker has been linked with a move back to La Liga, with Spanish champions Atletico Madrid reportedly interested in his services.

However, the former Villarreal and Malaga star has pledged his future to Arsenal.

‘I've seen that in the papers, but nobody has told me anything personally and the only things I know are from the papers, so I don't know anything’, Cazorla, who cost the North London club a reported £15m in transfer fee, told Cadena Cope.

‘I'm only focused on training here and preparing well playing with Arsenal. It's paper talk. I'm well, I have the confidence of everybody, the support of the fans and we hope to have a good season’.
