PHOTOS: Sanchez looks sharp in final session before Community Shield

Alexis Sanchez was just one player looking in good form ahead of Arsenal v Manchester City.

Arsenal return to Wembley this afternoon for the first time since they claimed the FA Cup with an extra time win over Hull City. Manchester City's last trip to the stadium also ended in silverware, beating Sunderland in the Capital One Cup final back in February.

For Arsenal it is a chance to prove themselves as genuine title contenders this season - against the reigning Premier League champions.

Arsenal have of course been very busy in the transfer market, bringing in the likes of David Ospina, Alexis Sanchez, Mathieu Debuchy and Callum Chambers - with all four hoping to feature.

Unfortunately for Ospina he won't, as he is injured. Debuchy however is fighting for the right-back berth with Hector Bellerin - while Chambers is likely to start at centre-back with Thomas Vermaelen no longer at the club and Per Mertesacker still on holiday after winning the World Cup this summer.

That reason also rules out Mesut Ozil and Lukas Podolski - who return to training tomorrow morning.

But Alexis looks set to start, and the Chilean looked really sharp in training. The former Barcelona forward had his shorts rolled up in trademark style and even enjoyed some time under the London Colney sprinkler system for a cool off.

Meanwhile the likes of Tomas Rosicky, Aaron Ramsey and Callum Chambers also looked ready for action. Olivier Giroud has also become something of a rare spot in recent weeks, but he led the line for one of the teams in action and could feature today.

Here are some more pics of Arsenal's final training session before they take on Manchester City in the Community Shield...
