Arsenal had gone nine years without winning a major trophy and now they have won two in the space of just three months.
The Gunners ended their long trophy drought with FA Cup success, defeating Premier League rivals Hull City 3-2 after extra-time at London’s Wembley Stadium.
It was at the same venue that Arsene Wenger’s side clinched their second successive major title on Sunday, getting the better of English champions Manchester City 3-0 with ease.
The North London outfit were in control of the clash right from the start and took the lead midway through the first half through Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla.
Wales international midfielder Aaron Ramsey, who was the 13-time English champions’ best player last season, doubled the advantage just before half time, and French striker Olivier Giroud wrapped up on the scoring on 62 minutes.
It was a very comfortable victory for Arsenal, who were without their 2014 World Cup winners Mesut Ozil, Per Mertesacker and Lukas Podolski, as the trio are yet to return to pre-season training from their summer break.
Manuel Pellegrini’s City were also without a number of first-team regulars, but that did not stop the Arsenal players from celebrating their success.
Many of the players took to Twitter and Instagram to express their delight at the triumph, including Ozil, Ramsey, Cazorla, Mathieu Debuchy and Yaya Sanogo.
Below is a selection of their tweets and pictures:
