Roberto Soldado and Andros Townsend joked on Twitter after the latter gave Soldado a good slap after scoring against Schalke.
Tottenham Hotspur won their final pre-season friendly yesterday with a hard fought win against Schalke 04. The score ended 2-1, with the two goalscorers on the day likely to give Mauricio Pochettino a good headache.
Soldado has had a difficult time at White Hart Lane since his £26 million move from Valencia last summer - but he will be hoping that under Pochettino he can go on to become a top scorer in the Premier League.
But while he tried to celebrate his excellent header yesterday, he was rudely interrupted by a rather over-zealous Andros Townsend.
The England international came into the huddle and gave Soldado some pretty hard slaps to the chops in jubilance at the 2-0 lead.
On Twitter after the game the two joked about the incident, with Soldado, tongue firmly in cheek, warning his pal not to do it again.
Team ethic seems good around the Spurs camp at the moment and fans will hope that can help them push for a Champions League place in 2014-15.
