Jamie Carragher 'would love to see' Paul Pogba in the Premier League

The Liverpool legend believes the former Manchester United midfielder is 'ideally suited' to English football.

Jamie Carragher wants to see Paul Pogba back in the Premier League.

The former Manchester United midfielder has been linked with a number of clubs since leaving Old Trafford for Juventus - and the ex-Reds defender wants one of them to act on their interest.

Indeed, while the 36-year-old admits the Frenchman will likely be expensive, he believes he is ideally suited for English football.

According to Carragher, he is a 'midfielder powerhouse' that the Premier League really needs.

"Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba looks ideally suited to the Premier League," Carragher told the Daily Mail.

"He would be expensive but I would love to see another midfield powerhouse in our league."

The former Liverpool man also discussed which of this summer's done deals he is a fan of and chose to praise Chelsea for their transfer business - while also tipping them for the Premier League title.

Although he says it might be too soon to tell, Carragher has been impressed by the purchases of Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas and Filipe Luis.

"Who knows yet? But Chelsea’s three big signings - Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas and Filipe Luis - look impressive as a package on paper."
