Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal’s future may still be wrapped up in uncertainty, but the Manchester United target seems to doing his pre-season duties without any problem in Australia.
The Chile international midfielder is still nursing a knee injury, which is reportedly a reason why the Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal is not pressing ahead with the move.
However, the 27-year-old appeared to be doing just fine during an open training session ahead of Juventus’s pre-season friendly clash against A-League All-Stars at ANZ Stadium in Sydney on Sunday.
The Juventus players trained at the ANZ Stadium in front of thousands of fans on Saturday, who cheered the stars and relished the special occasion.
Massimiliano Allegri, who replaced Antonio Conte as the Juve coach last month, oversaw the drills and prepared his players for the match on Sunday.
Vidal is unlikely to feature against the All-Stars team because of the injury, but even without him the Italian champions will be confident of a comprehensive victory.
It does not look likely that the future of former Bayer Leverkusen star Vidal will be resolved anytime soon, as there are still reports claiming that United have not completely giving up on signing him.
Whether a move to Old Trafford eventually goes through or not remains to be seen, but at the moment Vidal does not appear to be affected by the speculation when he has his boots on.
