Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski is still on his summer break and seems to be making the most of it.
The Germany international was recently photographed with the cast of ‘The Expendables' and now he was seen playing basketball with Koln 99ers, a professional basketball team based in the German city of Cologne.
Podolski did not actually feature in a game – he was just training with them on Friday - but the 29-year-old certainly seemed to enjoy himself.
The former Bayern Munich star took to Instagram to post the following picture along with the message: ‘Joined training with Cologne's Basketball team @rheinstarskoeln tonight. I love this game’.
Podolski was part of the 23-man Germany squad that won the 2014 World Cup in Brazil earlier this summer, although he did not feature prominently.
The ex-Koln forward is not a regular for Arsenal either. Having joined the Gunners in the summer of 2012, he failed to maintain his place in their starting line-up on a regular basis last season.
With competition for places in Arsenal’s attack fierce following the arrival of Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona for a reported transfer fee of £30 million this summer, there have been suggestions that the North London club’s manager Arsene Wenger may be willing to let him go.
The former Bayern forward has recently been linked with a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray, despite him having two more years left on his contract.
