Former Manchester United target and current AS Roma star Miralem Pjanic picks ex-Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure as two of the best players in the world.

The Premier League is one of the best and most competitive domestic leagues in the world, but there is just one current player in the division that former Manchester United target Miralem Pjanic considers worthy to be in his World XI.

Yaya Toure was easily the best midfielder in the English top flight last season and was a key player in Manchester City’s second league triumph in three years.

The former Barcelona player finds himself in AS Roma midfielder Pjanic’s World XI and is the only representative of the Premier League.

Toure lost out on the 2013-14 PFA Players’ Player of the Year award to a certain Luis Suarez last season. The Uruguay international scored 31 goals and provided 12 assists in 33 league appearances to guide Liverpool to a second-placed finish.

Interestingly, former Lyon star Pjanic, who was linked with a move to the Red Devils in January, has also included Barcelona legend Xavi in his team despite the former Spain international not being in the best of forms in the past year or so.

Here is now Pjanic’s World Cup XI line up:

Philipp Lahm – Thiago Silva – Sergio Ramos – David Alaba

Andres Iniesta – Yaya Toure – Xavi
