Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments deduces a September release

Sherlock Holmes Crimes and Punishments

Frogwares’ award winning adventures of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s super-detective continue from September 30th.

Publishers Focus Home have announced Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments will launch on 30th September in North America and Europe.

The seventh title in the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes series, Crimes & Punishments has been built using the Unreal Engine 3, giving the game a vast graphical upgrade. As the title suggests, the game is said to resonate with Dostoyevsky’s major novel Crime and Punishment, the BBC’s Sherlock TV show has also been cited as an influence.

The game will bring in 6 brand new cases for Baker Street’s finest sleuth to unravel with the use of the  ‘Deduction Board’ used in previous games, where clues and evidence picked up at scenes can be collected and linked together. As cases progress moral choices made by the player can affect the outcome, leading to a number of possible endings to a case.

Sherlock himself is armed with an arsenal of highly perceptive investigation skills ranging from the ability to uncover details about a person’s life by simply glancing at them to the ability to piece together the course of events of a crime by studying evidence gathered at a scene.

A new addition to Sherlock’s sleuthing skills with Crimes & Punishments is his new ‘Sherlock Vision’ which he can use to scan the world to uncover clues that might otherwise have been hidden.

Below is a brief launch trailer giving you a look at Crimes & Punishments.

Sherlock Holmes : Crimes & Punishment will be coming to PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
