Let's cast our eyes back to this exact day, the 8th August 2014, but a year earlier.
What were the main tales from that day? What big events were happening in Premier League football?
Here are some of the big scoops from the 8th August 2013…
Arsenal signed the Ivorian forward for an undisclosed fee in 2011, believed to be in the region of £10.8 million, from Lille.
But he had a terrible 2012-13 season and slipped out of the reckoning in the Arsenal first-team. Not many Arsenal fans were likely to have been shedding tears over the departure of their flop attacker, probably thinking he would disappear into Serie A obscurity.
Far from it. He went on to star for the Gialorossi under the tutelage of his former coach Rudi Garcia.
Fabregas going nowhere
Cesc Fabregas officially ruled out a move to Manchester United. The Spanish international was being heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford - as David Moyes looked for a long-term replacement for Paul Scholes.
"My dream has always been to play at Barça and nothing has changed. I’m very, very happy here and I never thought about leaving. It has cost me a lot to return to Barça and now I want to triumph here. Things have been invented..."
A year on and Fabregas has left Barca - joining Chelsea in July.
A year ago today Anzhi Makhachkala put all of their players on the transfer list - as the bubble burst at the free-spending Russian club.
One of the players who was put on the list was Willian - who became an instant target for both Chelsea and Tottenham. It was a saga that went on for much of the summer, and he even had a medical at Spurs.
He then signed for Chelsea a day or so later.
Would you take Gervinho back at Arsenal?
