New Dying Light Gamescom trailer shows off Left 4 Dead style co-op

Dying-Light

Techland and Warner Bros new first person zombie slayer receives a new trailer ahead of Gamescom in Germany next week.

Dying Light has been a little quiet lately, since the game was delayed when the developers, Techland, announced they wanted to take some more time to ensure it’s the best it can be. Well, we’ve now been treated to a new trailer of the game ahead of Gamescom in Germany next week, and it looks like the work they're doing is paying off.

In the trailer below we get a look at plenty of zombie slaying, stomping, chopping, slicing… and every other way you can kill a zombie. The open world is emphasized too, with glimpses across a wide cityscape, zipline usage, underwater swimming, grappling hooks and parkour too.

Most notably the four player co-op is shown, which brings memories of Left 4 Dead’s gameplay mechanics. How it will work exactly is not yet known, but if we do know one thing, it’s that slaying zombies with friends is bloomin’ brilliant! Check out the trailer below, and then get excited for Gamescom next week.

Dying Light is due for release in February 2015 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
