Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon publisher, Sierra, teases return

New Sierra Logo 2014

A trailer teasing the return of Sierra has appeared online with more info to be revealed at Gamescom next week.

In 2008 Vivendi, Sierra’s parent company, merged with Activision, and following that merger Sierra was shut down. However, yesterday a new logo, website, and trailer emerged online teasing the return of the company.

Sierra first formed in 1979, and until it’s closure in 2008 it had released many well-known games, including Gabriel Knight, Leisure Suit Larry, Homeworld 2, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.

Now Activision have seemingly resurrected the company, what could this mean? A return of an old franchise, or perhaps a brand new title? I guess we’ll find out more at Gamescom next week.
