Paris Saint-Germain will begin the defence of their Ligue 1 title tonight when they take on Reims away from home.
Laurent Blanc’s side have won the league for the past two seasons and will head into the new campaign as heavy favourites to accomplish a hat-trick of titles.
PSG have the best squad in France, with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Edinson Cavani and Thiago Silva all going strong.
The Parisian outfit have also added a certain David Luiz to their team, splashing out as much as £50 million to sign the Brazil international defender from Chelsea before the 2014 World Cup.
It will be a baptism of fire for Reims coach Jean-Luc Vasseur, who will be in charge of a Ligue 1 game for the first time ever in his career tonight.
Vasseur, who spent six years of his playing career at PSG, will have to pull something special out of the bag if he expects to pick up anything against their visitors.
PSG will head into tonight’s encounter on the back of a 2-0 victory over Guingamp in the Trophee des Champions, with former Barcelona, Inter Milan and Juventus star Ibrahimovic scoring both the goals.
