Arsenal held an open training session at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday. As many as 10 thousand Gunners fans watched the first team train and took part in many activities with them.
The likes of Alexis Sanchez, Calum Chambers and Aaron Ramsey all participated in the special event at the North London club’s home.
It was a rare opportunity for the Arsenal fans to watch how their star players prepare themselves for big Premier League matches on weekends and Champions League fixtures in midweek.
Some of the lucky young fans got the chance to play with the Arsenal players, which the stars enjoyed.
Joel Campbell, who is set to remain part of the first team after three seasons away on loan, and David Ospina, who moved to the club from Nice last summer, both played table tennis with the young fans of the Premier League club, with the former posting the following picture on social networking site Twitter.
Campbell and Ospina will have certainly made those Arsenal fans happy, but what will make them even happier would be winning the league this season.
The Gunners have not conquered England since 2004, but this term there is a strong optimism in the camp that they could do it.
In May, Arsene Wenger’s side ended their nine-year trophy drought with FA Cup triumph, and having recruited Sanchez and Mathieu Debuchy among others already, the 13-time English champions will head into the new season with confidence.
