Let's cast our eyes back to this exact day, the 7th August 2014, but a year earlier.
What were the main tales from that day? What big events were happening in Premier League football?
Here are some of the big scoops from the 7th August 2013…
Suarez lack of respect
Luis Suarez was again dominating the headlines as Liverpool and Arsenal continued to go backward and forward over his proposed transfer. Arsene Wenger claimed the move was 'on standby' as the day after Suarez said Liverpool had broken promises made to him at the start of the previous season by rejecting the Arsenal bid for his services.
But Brendan Rodgers responded, claiming Suarez showed a 'total lack of respect' toward Liverpool FC:
“There were no promises made - categorically none - and no promises broken. The club and his representatives had several conversations and he knew exactly where he was at...Obviously the remarks I've read are bitterly disappointing - but my job is bigger than that.
“My job is to fight and protect the club. The conversations I've had with him, he knows I've had and they will remain private.
“I will take strong, decisive action, absolutely. There has been total disrespect of the club - this is a lack of respect of a club that has given him everything. Absolutely everything. I really, really feel sorry for the supporters..."
A year ago today and Barcelona made an official bid for Chelsea defender David Luiz. The Brazilian was reportedly available as Jose Mourinho was not a big fan of the former Benfica player.
Chelsea and Barca never agreed on a fee for the player and he stayed at Chelsea for the 2013-14 season.
A year to the day since and Luiz has been introduced as a Paris Saint-Germain player - after signing for the club in a £50 million deal.
