There were reports yesterday that Liverpool could table a £16 million bid for Inter's Argentine star Mauro Icardi, but one of the player's spokesmen insists nothing has happened yet.
Liverpool are still looking for a striking addition after a move for Queens Park Rangers marksman Loic Remy fell through and they have a significant amount of money to spend having sold Luis Suarez.
Inter are closing in on a new striker of their own with links to Stevan Jovetic and Javier Hernandez, so Icardi's position at the club may be in question.
But Letterio Pino, who works alongside Icardi's agent, has declared that he hasn't had any contact with Liverpool over the 21-year-old.
Inter signed Icardi from Sampdoria ahead of last season and he found the net nine times during a difficult campaign for the Nerazzurri.
Icardi came through Barcelona's youth system after the Catalan side won a battle with Real Madrid to sign him from Canary Islands side Unión Deportiva Vecindario.
