Demba Ba may have failed to score regularly for Chelsea, but he seems to be doing all right at Besiktas.
The Senegal international was the star of the show for the Turkish giants on Wednesday in their 3-1 victory over Feyenoord in the second leg of the Champions League third qualifying round.
The 29-year-old striker opened the scoring in the 28th minute and added two more goals late in the match at the Ataturk Olimpiyat Stadi in Istanbul to lead his side to a 5-2 aggregate win against the Dutch giants.
And it did not take long for Chelsea winger Eden Hazard to send a congratulatory message to Ba on social networking site Twitter.
Hazard and Ba developed a very strong friendship with each other during their time together at Chelsea. While saying his farewell to the Blues last month, the former Newcastle United star had special words for the Belgium international.
Ba joined Chelsea from Newcastle in January 2013 when current Napoli coach Rafael Benitez was in charge of the London club.
Under Mourinho last season, the former West Ham United man did not get as many chances as he would have liked to make an impact, although he did score important goals in the second half of the campaign both in the Premier League and in the Champions League.
But that’s all in the past now, as Ba seems to have hit top form for his new club Besiktas and is enjoying himself.
