Juventus got their pre-season tour of Asia off to a flying start, by crushing the Indonesia All Star side 8-1 in their opening match in Jakarta.
Former Manchester United youngster Paul Pogba was at the heart of the action in the first half, setting up an early goal for Fernando Llorente.
Yet it was his Juventus midfield partner who all eyes were upon, Arturo Vidal.
While the pair were photographed above celebrating the win after the game, Chile midfielder Vidal did not play a single minute.
This was despite his message on Twitter a day earlier that he could not wait to return to playing in the club's black and white strip.
Manager Massimiliano Allegri did not comment on Vidal, linked with a switch to Manchester United, after the game, but he is thought to have been being precautious bearing in mind Vidal has just returned to training after the World Cup.
During the tournament, Vidal was playing through a knee injury, and Chile coach Jorge Sampaoli made headlines this week when he said this had concerned United boss Louis van Gaal, hence no bid from the Red Devils yet.
If Van Gaal was hoping for positive news about Vidal getting back to action and shaking off any signs of injury, then the match in Indonesia did not provide it.
Juventus fly out to Australia for their next leg of their pre-season tour, and Vidal will hope to make his anticipated comeback then.
The Juventus goals were scored by Andrea Pirlo, Fernando Llorente (3), Sebastian Giovinco, Kingsley Coman, Carlos Tevez, and Simone Pepe.
