Tottenham latest, row breaks over Vorm transfer, latest on Saints duo

A selection of the latest transfer news involving Tottenham Hotspur this Wednesday evening.

Tottenham's signing of goalkeeper Michel Vorm has sparked a row between his two former clubs Swansea City and Utrecht according to the Daily Mail.

Vorm swapped the Liberty Stadium for White Hart Lane in a deal reported to be worth £5 million, and Utrecht believe they are owed money after a 30% sell-on clause was inserted in the Dutchman's contract at Swansea.

However, Swansea claim that Vorm was part of the deal that saw midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson move from Spurs to Swansea.

Two key targets in Southampton's Jay Rodriguez and Morgan Schneiderlin will not be allowed to leave St Mary's this summer according to their chairman Ralph Krueger.

The London Evening Standard have picked up on an interview with the Saints chairman, who seems adamant the duo are central to their plans going forward.

He said: "The fact of the matter is there is a strategy in place and that we clearly have Morgan and Jay in the centre, as a core players of building this squad going forwards. That is our strategy and we're going to stick with it. We are now on a building and not in a reducing phase."

The Evening Standard is also reporting that Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino is willing to listen to offers for Michael Dawson, Kyle Naughton and Nacer Chadli in this transfer window. Dawson has been strongly linked with a move to Hull City.

The same article has picked on reports from the Netherlands that Tottenham are preparing a bid for Netherlands World Cup star Memphis Depay.

Spurs may bid £15.8 million for the 20-year-old forward according to the report, with the PSV star admitting recently that he would welcome a move to one of 'big leagues'.
