Versatile Arsenal midfielder has spoken of the boost Arsene Wenger has given the club by completing a quadruple signing.
Young Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, 20, has expressed excitement at working with the players manager Arsene Wenger has acquired in the summer transfer window thus far.
To date, Wenger has recruited World Cup stars Mathieu Debuchy and Alexis Sanchez, as well as goalkeeper David Ospina and preciously talented teenager Calum Chambers.
"We know there's a lot of exciting players around the squad this year," said Oxlade-Chamberlain to the official Arsenal website.
"With the likes of Alexis coming in with Debuchy and Chambers - we've got an extra spring in our step. There's competition for places and everyone wants to make an impression on the boss."
Frenchman Wenger may not have even concluded his transfer dealings yet and is expected to return to the market in order to obtain a defensive-minded midfielder, with one of William Carvalho or Sami Khedira the likeliest candidates for a move to North London.
However, it is not just the club's transfer activity that has been a cause for optimism amongst the playing roster as Oxlade-Chamberlain is also relishing the impact Yaya Sanogo could have in the Premier League, having struck four times in one game in the Emirates Cup.
"I'm really happy for Yaya, he's been aiming to get a goal on the board for a little while so to get four is a statement.
"I'm looking forward to seeing him this season and hopefully he can push on and help the squad," concluded the Englishman.
