Massimiliano Allegri: Arturo Vidal happy at Juventus

19 Old Trafford

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri says that Manchester United target Arturo Vidal is happy to remain with the Italian champions.

Arturo Vidal has long been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, but there appears to be no sign of him leaving Juventus anytime soon.

The Chile international is currently with his club on a pre-season tour of Asia and Australia, and touched down in Jakarta on Monday.

The 27-year-old midfielder appeared at ease with his teammates during a team meal and posted the following picture on social networking site Twitter.

Given the nature of transfer rumours, speculation on the future of the former Bayer Leverkusen star will not go away until the window slams shut, although new Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has tried his best to assure the club’s fans that Vidal will not leave Turin this summer.

‘Vidal and Pogba are delighted to be here and I am delighted to coach them’, Goal.com quotes the former AC Milan boss as saying.

Juventus have always maintained that neither Vidal nor Paul Pogba, who has been linked with a summer move to Chelsea, is for sale, and Allegri appears to be sticking to that line.

Vidal, though, has not been entirely committal to the Italian champions, and has hinted on more than one occasion that he could be open to a move.

However, time is slipping away for United as Juventus will not be back in Italy from their pre-season tour for around two weeks.
