All the latest summer transfer news from La Liga...

Barcelona have already brought in Valencia centre back Jeremy Mathieu this summer, and continue to pursue a deal for Arsenal's Thomas Vermaelen. However, with Manchester United also interested in the Belgian, it seems Luis Enrique has started lining up potential alternatives.

It seems that the player in question is Bayern Munich's Jerome Boateng. The former Manchester City defender impressed last season in the Bundesliga and at the World Cup, but Barca are hoping that ex boss Pep Guardiola will do them a favour in selling the 25-year-old.

Meanwhile, rivals Real Madrid have already splashed out around £90m on goalkeeper Keylor Navas, midfielder Toni Kroos and playmaker James Rodriguez, but the club remain interested in bringing in another striker after Alvaro Morata's move to Juventus. It seems that Monaco's Falcao is a top target, but the Colombian says that right now, he is focused on life in France.

"Madrid? I’m not aware of anything," said the former Atletico Madrid hitman. "At the moment, I can’t think about any other team. The only thing I can do is to continue working hard for the Monaco coach, so I can continue to be used at his convenience."

Elsewhere, Malaga are still looking for reinforcements despite signing Mexico World Cup star Guillermo Ochoa last week. and new manager Javi Gracia is reportedly interested in bringing two players to La Rosaleda.

Espanyol forward Theivy Bifouma, who spent the second half of last season with West Bromwich Albion, and Galatasaray winger Nordin Amrabat are the players being targeted, with Malaga looking to make an impact in La Liga next season.
