Arsenal teenager Daniel Crowley was on the scoresheet as the Gunners under-21 side won a pre-season friendly against Forest Green.
The final result was 6-4 to Arsenal, with goals also coming from Jon Toral, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Isaac Hayden (2) and Seni Ajayi.
Arsenal's side also boasted highly rated youngsters Kristoffer Olsson, Gedion Zelalem and Chuba Akpom.
Crowley's goal was the individual highlight, a fine strike from 25 yards out into the corner of the net, and was rhe perfect way to celebrate a memorable week.
Last year's summer addition from Aston Villa signed a professional contract with the club on Monday, triggered by his 17th birthday, and he has wasted no time in showing the club's faith in him is money well spent.
The midfielder is an England youth international and has previously been compared to Jack Wilshere.
Teammate Zelalem is the Arsenal youngster who has attracted the most plaudits of late, but Crowley really does have the talent to match or even surpass him.
Injury cut short his campaign in 2013/14, but this season offers a lot for him. If he can become a regular at under-21 level and impress in the UEFA under-19 Youth League, even a surprise Capital One Cup cameo may come his way too.

Is Crowley a shoe-in to reach the first team at Arsenal?
