Inter Milan star Mateo Kovacic has stated he would be happy to see Juventus allow Arturo Vidal to leave for Manchester United.
The Croatian international said that the resignation of Antonio Conte has inevitably weakened their Serie A competitors, and the departure of Vidal would do the same.
He told Gazzetta dello Sport: "Although Allegri is good, without their old coach Juventus have something less.
"And if they sell even Vidal, they will have much less. Arturo is a top player, there are few midfielders capable of scoring 10/15 goals and give ten assists each season. Vidal, helps the team: he is a total player."
Hearing a highly rated player, Kovacic himself valued at £17 million, rave about Vidal like that, illustrates his talent and the admiration he has among his peers.
Whether Juventus sell him on the other hand is another matter. Club boss Massimiliano Allegri told a press conference that Vidal is happy at the club, while the player himself confirmed on his Twitter feed he would soon be back wearing the black and white stripes of the Turin club.
With more than three weeks left until the transfer window closes however there is still time for the situation to develop, and United's money can make the market move - but if Juventus did cave in, they will know as well as Kovacic, replacing a player like the Chilean simply is not possible.
