Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy has touched down in Ireland to link up with his QPR teammates.
The French striker was on the verge of joining Liverpool, with the deal falling through when the forward failed his medical with the club.
The deal was in place before the examination, as Remy had previously stated that he wanted to join a club that would be playing in the Champions League over the course of the coming season.
Remy is part of the squad which is preparing to take on Athlone Town tomorrow night and Harry Redknapp will be hoping he has plenty to give to his current employers as they get ready to embark in life back in the Premier League.
Remy could still seal a move away from the club before the close of the summer transfer window with Newcastle United thought to be among the sides monitoring his situation.
However, a winter deal or a move next summer, if he decides not to stick it out with QPR, may be more realistic.
