AC Milan player joins Leeds United on season-long loan deal

Leeds United have completed a loan deal which will see Zan Benedicic stay at Elland Road for the season.

Leeds United have completed yet another signing with links to Italy which has been the theme for their summer activity following Massimo Cellino's takeover.

How much input Dave Hockaday is having on these transfers is unknown but it doesn't seem as if he is identifying them. The latest recruit is from AC Milan in the form of Zan Benedicic. A few days ago the player himself the move was close and it has now been confirmed on the club's Twitter account.



18-year-old playmaker Benedicic has yet to play for AC Milan's first team but has been impressing at youth level and has also represented Slovakia's Under-21's. Speaking before the move he had the this to say, "This opportunity is very good to me."

"They wanted me intensely and I have always liked English football. My first goal? To achieve a place in the starting XI."

The Whites have already made four summer signings from Italian football, with Marco Silvestri, Tommaso Bianchi, Souleymane Doukara and Gaetano Berardi all arriving.
