The Gunners ran riot on Saturday in north London, as Yaya Sanogo scored no less than four goals, with Joel Campbell also finding the net against the Portuguese side.
Everything seemed to go right for Arsene Wenger's men, with several young stars putting in strong performances and Alexis Sanchez also making his debut.
Chambers himself impressed at centre-back and was excited by what he saw at the Emirates Stadium.
“It’s amazing in front of such a big crowd and it’s a great achievement to play with such players," he told BT Sport after the game.
“I enjoy centre-half. I played at right-back last season but I took the opportunity [in the middle] today.
“The quality of the players we got in this team is immense. To play with them is an honour.
“This club is destined for great things. We’ve got a great history and we can do really well in the league.”
At 19, Chambers can be seen as a long-term investment by Wenger after being brought in from Southampton this summer.
The defender enjoyed a solid performance against Benfica, much like goalkeeper Damian Martinez.
Hector Bellerin somewhat stole the show, though, with a wonderful performance down the right. The 19-year-old set up a goal for Arsenal and showed that the Gunners have talent in abundance throughout their squad.
