Chelsea's Young Player of the Year: £30m signing is 'on a different level'

Lewis Baker says he is learning from Cesc Fabregas already.

The 19-year-old is one of several youngsters to have joined up with Chelsea's first team on their European training camp and admits he has relished the experience.

And there is one man in particular who has made the trip even more memorable for Baker - Fabregas.

Indeed, the Blues midfielder, who has played in all five of Chelsea's friendlies so far, says it is a 'massive deal' to play alongside the Spaniard.

"He’s on a different level," Baker told Chelsea's official website.

"He’s been talking to me on the pitch and giving me help so it’s great for me to be able to take advice from him.

"Playing alongside someone like Cesc Fabregas is a massive deal for me, especially as we play in the same position.

"He can play high, he can play deeper and also out wide. Even when I’m just watching from the sidelines I always try to pick up tips from his game."

As well as Baker, Nathan Ake has also played a prominent role in Chelsea's pre-season, as Jose Mourinho's youth squad look to make their mark on the first team.

Kurt Zouma, too, has featured for the Blues, scoring the winner in their friendly against Ol Ljubljana.

Along with the rest of Chelsea's youth prospects, the trio will no doubt have gained vital experience from sharing a pitch with the likes of Fabregas, Eden Hazard and more.
