A 'less addictive' version of the massively popular mobile game is now available on Amazon Fire TV with a new Person vs Person mode and added ghosts.
Flappy Bird has made a return with a new version now available on Amazon Fire TV
The new Flappy Bird game is called Flappy Bird Family and brings in a new Person vs Person multiplayer mode. To add more of a challenge to the game, there are also now new ghost obstacles to avoid. According to the game's description the resulting action is still, “very hard.”
Flappy Bird creator, Doug Nguyen originally pulled Flappy Bird from iTunes and Google Play in February. Despite averaging $50,000 a day from ad revenues, the game was removed as people were becoming too addicted to playing it.
Nguyen stated in May the new game that is Flappy Bird Family would be “less addictive” as a result. A mixed response has come from reviewers regarding the new game’s addicting nature, with some finding it less addictive and others finding themselves just as sucked-in as before.
Flappy Bird Family is only currently compatible with Amazon’s proprietary video game controller and Fire TV remote with no word as yet regarding a version for iOS and Android devices.
