Real Madrid boss has already given an insight into his team selection for the UEFA Super Cup final in Cardiff.
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has already given some major hints as to his team selection for the UEFA Super Cup final in Cardiff this month.
European Champions Madrid will face Europa League winners and La Liga counterparts Sevilla on August 12, with Ancelotti already having a fair idea of his starting eleven for the game.
Lopez is thought to be leaving Madrid over the weekend to accommodate the incoming Keylor Navas, but as far as Ancelotti is concerned, he remains one of his players.
"Diego López looks good to me, like he always does, he's training well. There have been no changes. I haven't spoken with the club. Diego is a Real Madrid player,” Ancelotti said in his Friday press-conference.
“He isn't playing tomorrow because I want to give Iker some playing time as he's going to start the Super Cup, but I'm still counting on Diego. We had a lot of problems last season when we talked about Iker and Diego.
“I'm not going to comment on Keylor Navas because he isn't a Real Madrid player".
In what looks another case of differing stances from Ancelotti and the club, Lopez will continue to be in the thoughts of the former Chelsea manager.
Reports in Spain have also suggested a difference in opinion over Angel Di Maria, with Ancelotti expecting the Argentinian back in training on Tuesday, while Madrid are supposedly ready to offload him.
