Juventus fans are certainly worried about Arturo Vidal leaving for Manchester United, and are making their case to the player for him to stay.
After chanting for him to stay during their midweek friendly against Cesena, in which he stayed on the bench, they have taken an even more personal approach.
Fans gathered on Friday afternoon at the Juventus team hotel in Turin to express their opinions, and urge him to remain at the club.
Italian newspaper Tuttosport report: "Outside the hotel venue of the retreat, the Lingotto, the fans call on the Chilean and begging him not to go away. He smiles and makes photos with everyone, signing autographs and does not seem at all upset by the situation."
Crucially they add, when asked about his future, he responded simply as to whether he was staying, with a simple 'yes'.
Quite what the reaction would have been, had he responded with a 'no', is anybody's guess.
There is an alternate report however, with Italian website Tuttojuve reporting a differing version of events:
"Stay with us, Arturo", asked the fans. He smiled, but remained silent."
Either way, Vidal did not take the opportunity to put the rumours to bed conclusively with an extended statement on his future, as he has declined to do repeatedly.
The feeling that he is waiting for United to front up the money suggested for his signature remains, but time is ticking down.
