It looks as if team spirit in the Arsenal camp is particularly high at the moment, with Jack Wilshere even able to laugh at the terrible conditions that they have experienced at their pre-season training camp in Austria.
The Gunners travelled to the continent at the start of this week to continue their preparations ahead of the new season, but it doesn’t appear to be going to plan as inclement weather has caused flooding around their camp.
Thankfully the squad were still able to train yesterday as the pitch remains not too badly damaged, but the heavy rain will have no doubt made things a lot harder for Arsene Wenger’s side.
They still seemed to be enjoying themselves, though, as Wilshere was pictured joking around in the puddles with the equipment manager Paul Johnson.
One man who has not had to suffer the poor conditions is Alexis Sanchez, who had to sort out his VISA rather than meet up with his new team-mates, but Calum Chambers was part of the training camp.
There is a genuine hope from supporters that Arsenal can make themselves title contenders once again after their summer spending this year and the spirit inside the camp looks good.
When the squad return from Austria, they will compete in the annual Emirates Cup before battling it out for the Community Shield against Manchester City at Wembley.
When the competitive stuff starts again, they begin their campaign against Tony Pulis’ Crystal Palace side on August 16th.
