Khedira drops big hint on future - 'Preparing for a new season with my team'

German World Cup winner has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid this summer.

Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira has reportedly set his sights on preparing for another season with Real Madrid.

The German has been constantly linked with Arsenal this summer, as Arsene Wenger attempts to bring in a holding player to balance his very attacking midfield.

It appears as if no one is really sure whether the pursuit of Khedira is over or not. Everyday sees a fresh report either telling of how the Gunners will now go all out for his signature, or that Wenger has long been considering other options after being out-priced by Madrid.

But Khedira could have given his biggest hint yet as to where he will be playing his football this coming season, after giving a few words to German newspaper BILD.

“From August 5 I will begin preparing for a new season with my team, Real Madrid." The report quotes him as saying.

It has long been speculated that Madrid and Khedira have held fresh talks over signing a new deal at the Bernabeu, with the 27-year-old having just one-year on his current contract remaining.

Last night saw TalkSport’s Stan Collymore enter the fray, convincing Gunners that the move for Khedira is still ‘100% on’, adding yet more uncertainty to the scenario.

All eyes will now turn to next Tuesday when Khedira is due back in training with the Spanish giants, where we will be able to analyse his body language around the Madrid squad, and most importantly with manager Carlo Ancelotti.
