Saints fans could be set for some good news as deals for three new players could be confirmed by the club, according to various reports.
The squad has been torn apart this summer as key players have all made moves to top Premier League sides with Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert, Callum Chambers and Dejan Lovren all departing.
However, new manager Ronald Koeman looks set to spend some of the vast money received by the sales of their stars on three more new arrivals following the capture of Ryan Bertrand on a season-long loan.
The Chelsea left-back will replace Luke Shaw and his attacking style of play will suit the Saints philosophy of football, though more additions are still required.
Southampton are believed to be closing in on deals for Argentine defender Marcos Rojo as well as Serie A duo Saphir Taider and Jonathan Biabiany.
Rojo has been linked with a move to St Mary's for much of the summer after impressing at the World Cup with Argentina, and the club have made an offer of £10 million to Sporting Lisbon according to the Daily Mirror.
The 24-year-old can play at left-back or in the centre of defence and would be an eye-catching addition if the club can wrap up a deal.
The same publication claims that the Saints have made a bid for Parma winger Biabiany, though West Brom are also keen on the pacey Frenchman.
While Sky Sports have reported that Taider could make the move to the Premier League with Southampton on a season-long loan as part of a deal that will see misfit striker Dani Osvaldo leave the club to join Inter Milan.
The 22-year-old Algerian midfielder impressed with the African side in Brazil and his arrival along with Rojo and Biabiany would undoubtedly give Saints fans something to smile about after a long and difficult summer.
