Chelsea transfer news: Lukaku priced out of Blues exit, Saville set for Championship loan

A round up of transfer stories this morning about Chelsea.

The Mirror claims several sides interested in Romelu Lukaku have been put off of signing him by his huge price tag.

Chelsea are reported to want £30 million for the talented Belgian, who looks set for a season on the bench if he doesn’t move.

Juventus and Monaco have both been linked with him, as have Everton, who he played for on loan last season.

Middlesbrough are reportedly eyeing a loan deal for Chelsea midfielder George Saville.

Saville would join Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeruo who is already on loan at the club for the coming season.

Chelsea and Middlesbrough already have a good relationship so the deal should go through without any problems.

Didier Drogba has backed new signings Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas to be successful at the club.

Costa completed a long awaited move from Atletico Madrid while Fabregas signed from Barcelona this summer.

“It was very important for us to buy these players, they are all good signings. To have Cesc with us, I think he’ll understand it’s better to be with us than against us - I’ve been watching Diego [Costa] play over the last few years and the first time I saw him I really liked him as a player,” Drogba told the Star.
