PSV Eindhoven have been battling for months to keep hold of their talented winger Zakaria Bakkali. The talented Belgian winger sprang to international attention when he banged in a hat-trick in just his second appearance for the club - and his explosive wing play has got other teams watching on with envious eyes.
This summer teams such as Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Anderlecht and Standard Liege have all been mentioned as holding a vested interest in his services - while English teams have also had a mention.
Both teams are keen on the explosive winger - but it seems that a team in La Liga is about to disappoint interested Premier League teams once again.
In the same week that Atletico Madrid dashed Premier League interest in Antoine Griezmann Dutch paper De Telegraaf is reporting that Los Colchoneros have agreed a €2-3 million fee for the 18-year-old - dashing all hopes of his potential Premier League switch.
Both clubs will certainly be displeased if these rumours ring true. Bakkali is a sensational talent and would be an asset to any team.
However he has recently received bad headlines. He is currently suspended from the PSV first-team after a tense stand off on renewing his contract - which expires in 2015 - so perhaps he is a risk that was never worth taking in the first place.
PSV now seem happy to let him go for a small fee, rather then receive nothing (other than tribunal money) for his services in a years time. But it looks increasingly likely that Atletico will be the team to capitalise.
