Arsenal latest: Khedira deal still on; Carvalho reportedly up for sale

All the latest news and gossip from the past 24 hours at The Emirates.

Real Madrid are reportedly desperate to sell Arsenal Sami Khedira this summer - as Bayern Munich are reportedly lining him up on a free transfer next summer.

Bayern have since refuted those claims, but Real still want him gone in order to not lose him on a free transfer.

The German international's contract expires next summer with Arsenal continually spoken of as the number one team when it comes to interest in his signature.

Nothing from the club has yet been announced but Arsenal's interest is widely believed to be genuine.

Khedira is close friends with Mesut Ozil and Lukas Podolski - with the latter openly admitting he would like Khedira to join the North London club.

Arsenal could however instead sign William Carvalho from Sporting Lisbon - as it is being reported the Portuguese club are ready to sell the player.

Sporting are open to the idea of flogging their star asset in order to use the money in the transfer market this summer - including an apparent move for Nani.

Sporting have a release clause set at £35 million for the player. However it is believed the club could accept a smaller fee.

Manchester United have previously been linked with the player - but Louis van Gaal is not believed to be a fan.

Arsenal have lost an appeal in the High Court - but football fans should not fret to much, as it has little to do with football.

The club were hoping to hold double the amount of music concerts at The Emirates Stadium to make the revenue for the club.

However the appeal has been rejected.
