VIDEO: Torres shows incredible link-up play with Chelsea new boy

Fernando Torres could yet form a partnership with Diego Costa as suggested by this sublime piece of skill from Chelsea's number nine.

Torres made the headlines yesterday for all the wrong reasons.

During Chelsea 2-1 pre-season friendly victory over Slovenian side Olimpija Ljubljana, the Spanish striker missed one of the simplest chances you will ever see in a football match.

Rather than opting to head home a cross from just a few yards out Torres instead tried to chest the ball into the net, resulting in it flying over and social media going into overdrive.

However on a more positive note he did show that he still possesses great ability with an almost telepathic-like pass to his compatriot and new Chelsea forward, Diego Costa.

The clip below shows Torres pick the ball up under pressure on the right-flank, and he takes what you might think to be a pretty bad first touch.

He then however performs an unbelievable back-heel lobbed pass right into the path of his strike partner, taking two Olimpija players out of the game in the process.
