Arsenal's latest arrival has sent a message following the announcement of the deal.
On Sunday morning, Arsenal confirmed that David Ospina would be their third signing of the summer.
Following in the footsteps of Mathieu Debuchy and Alexis Sanchez, the 25-year-old Colombian international goalkeeper will compete with Wojciech Szczesny next season.
And following the announcement of a deal reportedly worth in the region of £3million for his former club Nice, Ospina took to Twitter to send a message to both his old club and his new one.
“Race closes with a wonderful Nice cycle and a dream fulfilled upon arrival at Arsenal,” he wrote. “Merci Nissarts, Go Gunners.”
Ospina enjoyed an outstanding World Cup as Colombia shocked many. And with Arsenal requiring a new goalkeeper this summer, they have pulled off something of a coup signing Ospina for what appears to be a cut-price fee.
Now it is up to their latest arrival to show what he can do, which may not be great news for Szczesny.
