A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United…
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has said he could still use Wilfried Zaha despite the winger failing to appear in the club’s opening two pre-season games.
In quotes published by the Telegraph, van Gaal said, “I have a lot of striker and I’ve already said we have no balance in there. Maybe the next time I can use Zaha, but he is working good and doing all that I demand.”
The former Crystal Palace player has been linked with a summer exit, but despite being the only player yet to feature for the club this summer, it seems van Gaal could still find a place for him.
The Argentine international has long been linked with a possible move to Old Trafford. But more recently he has looked set to move to Paris Saint-Germain either permanently or on loan.
But the latest report claims he could well be on his way to United for around £45million.
And finally, Roma manager Rudi Garcia has said reported United target Kevin Strootman could leave the Italian side…if someone bids in excess of €100million.
Garcia was clearly stating just how important Strootman is to his club when he said, “A possible sale to Manchester United? What can I say to these rumours? For over €100million we can sit around a table and think about it.”
