A select round-up of the latest news relating to Liverpool…
Liverpool striker Fabio Borini could be set for a second season on loan at Sunderland after a permanent move failed to materialise.
The Sunday Express claims that while a £14million fee had been agreed between the two clubs, Borini’s reported reluctance to leave Anfield permanently could instead see him head back to the Stadium of Light on a temporary deal.
The Belgium international starred at the World Cup, and after weeks of speculation his future could soon be cleared up.
It is believed Origi will head back to his current club Lille on loan once his move to the Reds is confirmed.
If both he and Borini head out on loan next season, it will be interesting to see if they can both stake a claim to be in Brendan Rodgers’ first-team plans further down the line.
Do you think it is time for Borini to leave Liverpool permanently?
