Arsenal confirmed the signing of Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina on Sunday, with only 'regulatory paperwork' standing in the way of the deal becoming official.
In doing so, the club also revealed when the World Cup star will likely make his debut, and fans do not have long to wait.
"It is expected Ospina will make his first Arsenal appearance at the Emirates Cup, which takes place at Emirates Stadium on Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3."
The Gunners face Benfica on the Saturday and AS Monaco on the Sunday.
Monaco are a side Ospina is familiar with, having faced them last season - but was beaten by a Dimitar Berbatov goal when they last faced off.
It makes sense for Arsene Wenger to rotate his side heavily with two matches being played in as many days, and in front of his own crowd it will give Ospina a perfect chance to connect and make a big impression on his own supporters.
