Spurs transfer news: Target to cost over £27m and Griezmann latest

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur will have to pay more than £27million if they want Morgan Schneiderlin according to reports.

The Guardian claims the Frenchman’s current club Southampton will only sell him to one of his reported suitors – including Spurs and Arsenal – if more cash is stumped up than was paid for Luke Shaw.

That could leave both clubs looking elsewhere in their search for midfield reinforcements.

In other news, Tottenham reportedly face even more competition in their apparent pursuit of Antoine Griezmann, with the Express reporting that Atletico Madrid have entered the race.

Tottenham reportedly had a £15million bid for the French international rejected earlier this summer, with his current side Real Sociedad holding out for £25million.

But Spurs could now face competition from a very enticing alternative, given that Atletico are the current La Liga champions and recently contested the Champions League final.
