PHOTO: Liverpool outcast gets reacquainted with team-mates on the golf course

Pepe Reina took to the golf course with Joe Allen, Daniel Agger and Glen Johnson this afternoon.

Last summer saw Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina, a stalwart for many years at the club, shoved aside as Brendan Rodgers decided to bring in Belgian international Simon Mignolet from Sunderland.

For Reina the risk of being second choice was too high and he departed, joining Napoli on loan for the 2013-14 season. However, despite a good campaign in Serie A the Partenopei did not want to bring him in on a permanent deal - as they are hoping to give their young goalkeepers a chance to shine this campaign.

With a dream move to Spain unlikely due to a lack of necessity in La Liga for top goalkeepers he is now set to stay at Liverpool this campaign - which he confirmed earlier this week:

"I am here to stay. I have not talked to Brendan Rodgers, I've been here for only four days and I am just thinking of training to my best and getting back into shape. At the moment all the big Spanish teams are covered in my role, so I see it as very difficult to return to Spain."

So with Reina set to stay he is starting to settle back into action with some of his old team-mates and new ones.

And what a better way to get back involved with the club than a casual round of golf?

Reina took to the course with Daniel Agger and Glen Johnson - whilst Joe Allen was also along for the 18 holes.

Liverpool fans will hope that Reina stays out of the bunkers at Anfield this season.
