Liverpool transfer news: Defender and winger tipped to leave; Shaqiri latest

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Liverpool

Liverpool have reportedly made a bid of £14.2million for Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri.

The Daily Star has picked up on initial reports from German newspaper Blick, which suggest the Swiss international is yet another player on Brendan Rodgers’ summer shopping list.

Shaqiri has long been linked with a move to Anfield, but the rumours are gathering pace as the season approaches. Although the report adds that the bid has been rejected, but is not too far off Bayern’s valuation of the player.

In other news, the Stoke Sentinel reports that Liverpool’s Oussama Assaidi is asking for £45,000-a-week in wages to move from the Reds to Stoke City this summer.

The paper claims the Potters would be offering closer to £30,000-a-week, and as things stand it seems the former Stoke loan star is still someway off completing a permanent move to the Britannia Stadium.

And finally, Forza Italian Football claims Napoli are targeting Liverpool defender Daniel Agger this summer.

This is just the latest in a long list of rumours relating to the Danish international. But with Dejan Lovren tipped to arrive any day now, the Danish international could find game-time significantly reduced in the coming campaign.
