Arsenal and their brief pre-season hurrah in the United States are now well underway.
Arsenal are establishing links with clubs within the MLS but it was only natural they would be inclined to meet the coaching staff and playing personnel at New York Red Bulls due to the presence of veteran striker Thierry Henry, ahead of a match between the two tomorrow, Saturday.
In the first photograph in this gallery, key members of both teams pose for a shot inside the Red Bulls Arena featuring - from left to right - Mikel Arteta, Henry, Arsene Wenger, Wojciech Szczesny and New York caoch Mike Petke.
Various members of the Gunners squad warmed-up inside the ground, with Carl Jenkinson, Mathieu Flamini and Aaron Ramsey all in the foreground of the second photo. In the third picture, Kieran Gibbs and Ramsey seem to enjoy linking-up, while Henry watches on in the background.
Arguably the most intriguing shot of the bunch is the penultimate one which shows Henry next to Abou Diaby, a gifted midfielder whose career has been plagued by injury. Is the veteran attacker advising his compatriot over fitness?
Arsenal fans had become frustrated due to how former Gun Robin van Persie always seemed to spend time in the physio's room, however, manager Wenger was correct to be patient with the Dutchman as he ended up paying the boss back with goals. Can Diaby do a van Persie next season?
And finally, academy graduate and fan's favourite Jack Wilshere participates in a classic pose with the football, before training, then taking a rest.
