Perpetually-injured midfielder Abou Diaby joined the roster, as did a number of exciting youth prospects like Gedion Zelalem and, in the video above, the team can be seen taking photographs of themselves on board the private airplane as it prepared for take-off from Luton Airport, north of London, ahead of their brief tour of the USA's north-east coast.
The squad appeared in good spirits as they enjoyed music, played on ipads and laptops, watched Wolf of Wall Street and shared jokes.
