An old Manchester United foe was in LA to watch them win 7-0.
Manchester United's thrashing of LA Galaxy was witnessed first hand by one highly regarded former opponent.
Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero was in attendance, and met after the game with goalscorer Ashley Young, who posted a photo on his Instagram account.
Del Piero has netted more than 300 goals in his career, including against Manchester United in the Champions League.
He has played the past two seasons in Sydney in Australia, scoring 24 goals for the A-League side.
Young did not divulge whether he asked the Juventus legend if he could have any sway in getting his former side to agree to sell Arturo Vidal.
The Italian was not the only high profile fan in attendance last night, with Manchester United's Twitter feed boasting at the presence of several.
David Beckham, Alesandro Del Piero, Olly Murs, David Hasselhoff and Gordon Ramsay were also among the 86,432-strong crowd. #mutour— Manchester United (@ManUtd) July 24, 2014
In front of the expectant crowd, Young and United will have been thrilled to put on a real show in a comprehensive 7-0 win.
Should Del Piero have signed for United at one stage in his career?
