People New: UBS, Goldman Sachs

For Hire

A $5.6bn hedge-fund unit of UBS hired former Credit Suisse corporate-debt trader Nathan Bohn as it expands its credit group.

Bloomberg News reports that Bohn will join UBS O’Connor as an executive director, Casey Talbot, head of global fixed-income strategies, said in a telephone interview. Bohn departed Credit Suisse in March after working at the firm’s New York office since 2004, according to Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records.

In the meantime, Goldman Sachs has appointed Tim Leissner as chairman of Southeast Asia, in an effort to strengthen the firm's investment banking client relationships in the region, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters on Wednesday.

Reuters reports that Leissner, who will relocate back to Singapore from Hong Kong, is taking up a role last held by L. Brooks Entwistle, who retired from Goldman Sachs in November 2012.
